Russian banks accepted the new CB’s recommendation on information disclosure with surprising enthusiasm

After a bit more than a month of the Russian Central Bank’s new recommendations in place, 60% of all banks are ready to meet them and disclose detailed information on their financial condition - the Bank of Russia’s actions taken to increase transparency of the banking system are yielding positive results, but deposit holder’s better ability to estimate safety of banks will hardly decrease pressure on the deposit insurance system in Russia.
