Ukrainian banks kept from bankruptcy

NBU cancelled certain criteria for immediate liquidation

Ukraine’s bankers welcomed the changes, also saying that while liquidating a bank or imposing a temporary administration during the financial crisis, the NBU’s representatives frequently used their own subjective judgment.

The National Bank of Ukraine cancelled a number of criteria that were used during the financial crisis as a trigger to begin a bank’s liquidation (bankruptcy) procedure.
