Russian banks’ capital is dangerously close to lower limits

The general situation in the banking sector of Russia has stabilized. However, some if its banks may soon find themselves close to the lower boundary of “survival” as their capital is being slowly depleted. This is what the Central Bank of Russia is expecting.

The general situation in the banking sector of Russia has stabilized; however, some if its banks may soon find themselves close to the lower boundary of “survival” as their capital is being slowly depleted: some banks may not have enough capital already by the end of 2010, as indicated by the H1 normative standard (the ratio of capital to assets).
